Min Jin Lee Reads Wendi Kaufman

Min Jin Lee joins Deborah Treisman to discuss “Helen on Eighty-Sixth Street,” which was published in The New Yorker in 1997. A recipient of the Fitzgerald Prize for Literary Excellence, Lee is the author of three novels: “Free Food for Millionaires;” “Pachinko;” which was a finalist for the National Book Award, in 2017, and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, in 2018; and “American Hagwon,” which was excerpted in The New Yorker and will be published in September.
